Help Me Grow is an initiative of Ohio Family & Children First and administered by the Ohio Department of Health. Local Family & Children First Councils administer Help Me Grow in all 88 counties in Ohio.

  Help Me Grow’s – Home Visiting Program

gives your family information about health

and how your child grows.

 

  Our goal is to help your family prenatally and up to your child's third birthday.

 

· We want your child to be happy!

· We want your child to be healthy!

· We want your child ready for school!

 

   Who is Eligible?

  First-time pregnant women

  A first-time parent with a child less than 6 months of age

    (The above groups must meet Help Me Grow income guidelines of 200% or less than the federal poverty level.)

  A child under age 3 referred with a substantiated case of abuse or neglect

A child under 3 with one parent in active military duty

 

 What can the Help Me Grow

Home Visitor do for your family?

 

Þ  Teach you how your child will grow and learn

Þ   Connect you with other helpful services

Þ   Teach parenting skills and how to be your   

child’s first and best teacher

 

 


EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM 


 · As a Parent, are you concerned about your child's development? Do you think they may be behind in their development?

 

· Is your doctor or another professional concerned about your child's development?

 

· Does your child have a medical diagnosis?

 

    The Early Intervention Program provides services

to children with developmental delays or disabilities or

with a medical diagnosis.

 

 

Help Me Grow’s – Early Intervention Program supports your family through:

 

· service coordination

· referrals and resources

· screenings, evaluations and assessments

· transitions

· family supports

· links to specialized services

 

Who is Eligible?

 

  Children with a developmental delay determined by an evaluation team

  Children with a medical diagnosis likely to cause a developmental

   delay

  

A Help Me Grow Service Coordinator

  will assist your family and child through all aspects of services!
