Washington County Family & Children First Council serves as the Local Advisory Board for the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund (OCTF). In 2008, through a defined planning process, Council identified the need for an on-going evidence-based parenting programming. Council began supporting the Strengthening Families 10-14 Program and beginning in 2011 the program is offered through the Family & Children First office. The purpose of OCTF is to support child abuse and neglect prevention activities in counties. Community needs assessments are conducted each biennium in order to prioritize county needs and funding applications are sought to align with county priorities.
